Vancouver Canucks AM Skate – NHL Trade Rumours, Offer Sheets, Shots Required

While Vancouver Canucks fans continue the Jason Dickinson, Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes contract watch, let’s take a twirl around the NHL. In other words …

Let’s Skate! …

Our pals at Sportsnet are reporting that the Winnipeg Jets have decided to require vaccination to attend home games. Ultimately the club’s fans were the ones expressing concerns. So, get poked, provide proof, watch pucks. Expect a similar doctrine from the Vancouver Canucks soon.

Always tantalizing to see the Boston Bruins media talking Vancouver Canucks. Holy moly, could you imagine the reaction in Vancouver if an offer sheet for Pettersson came in from Massachusetts?! Or even worse, the reaction if the Bruins had been able to lure him away with big money. Yikes! Not happening, but our rowdy boys in Boston are still questioning why the B’s chased low-rent UFAs and didn’t set aside money to chase an RFA like the Canucks centre.

Down in the Sunshine State, the Florida Panthers snagged Sam Reinhart from the Buffalo Sabres, and now the Panthers have locked up Reinhart for at least a few years.

Call it anti-trade rumours: The top-five list of NHL’ers who didn’t get traded. A couple of the answers are pretty obvious, but it’s still an interesting list. It’s our man Dan in Pittsburgh breaking it down.

If you’re out and about over the next two or three days, especially hiking or biking, make sure you’re toting enough water along. That’s for Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Kraken fans in particular. The next “heat dome” is settling in. Be well!
