Vancouver Canucks Announce Rookie Camp for This Week
The Vancouver Canucks will conduct their rookie camp at the Rogers Arena starting this Thursday and Friday. The roster includes a goalie, three defencemen and eight forwards, including 2019 10th-overall draft pick Vasili Podkolzin, fresh off informal skates here, after two full pro’ seasons in Russia. He has also represented his nation in the last three World Junior Championships. Belarus native Danila Klimovich was the Vancouver Canucks 41st-overall pick this past summer, their highest selection in the draft.
The goalie is Arturs Silovs, a Latvian who the Canucks picked in the 6th round of the NHL Draft back in 2019. He could end up seeing some time in the AHL or even the ECHL this season.
The Vancouver Canucks camp begins off-ice Thursday with medicals and fitness testing. The official on-ice session takes place Friday afternoon. Here’s the entire roster:
