Newly re-signed Canucks centre J.T. Miller and general manager Patrik Allvin will be addressing the media on Tuesday morning in separate availabilities. Canada Wins Again
Two BC gals contributed to Team Canada’s Women’s World Championship Gold Medal victory over Team USA on Sunday. I didn’t watch the game and I only heard a few minutes of it, so if anyone can pass along why forward Sarah Potomak from Aldergrove only played 16-seconds in the third period and 8:03 in ice time overall, please pass it along via comments. I’m not sure if she was hurt or if it was simply a coach’s decision.
Defenceman Micah Zandee-Hart from Saanichton played a solid 19:49 on the blueline and registered a shot on goal. Team Canada has now won back-to-back Worlds and the most recent Olympic Gold Medal in women’s hockey.
Sportsnet reports that after the game Team USA had some complaints.

The Detroit Hockey Now lads put together a list of the five most valuable Red Wings on the roster, an idea we’ll be swiping for a Canucks list. Pretty clear cut in Vancouver, no?
Washington Hockey Now: Sammi Silber opened her mailbag for Capitals fans. Is Dylan Strome the answer in the middle? Are head coach Peter Laviolette and GM Brian McClellan on the hot seat? Are they looking to add a defenceman via trade? Washington Capitals questions.
Montreal Hockey Now: According to Marco DโAmico,ย most of the top young talent in the Canadiens organization has made its way to the big club. What’s the dealie with restocking the hockey cupboards? He scoured the landscape for the prospects in other organizations. Montreal Canadiens.
